Golden Casket were delighted to be a sponsor for the Inverclyde Icon Awards. Sponsoring the category ‘Business Resilience’. The awards took place in Greenock town hall on the 15th of September. A strong history has led to this event being regarded as ‘Inverclyde’s premier business event’. Which goes to show the high standards of competition. Covering eleven different categories involving businesses from every sector, the Icon Awards praises hardworking and innovative companies throughout Inverclyde. The awards were hosted by Gerry McDade who is certainly no stranger to hosting these types of events.

The business resilience award is described as: “intended for those organisations that have shown a defiance and resilience in spite of the most challenging trading conditions in many generations”. The award was presented by our very own Carly Rae! Two different companies were up for the business resilience award – Nicolson McShane Architects and Sisterco/Cottage Café . Both fantastic local businesses. Operating in completely different sectors. Again, highlighting how diverse the local talent is and demonstrating that Inverclyde business is booming.

In the end, Nicholson McShane Architects won the business resilience award. A very well deserved winner. We were delighted to have sponsored this award. There were some other excellent local businesses which we were delighted to see winning. Including the Porchlight and Diodes Incorporated. It was all round an excellent event and we were delighted to have been a sponsor.
